Welcome to The Cloister and the 40th Georgia Foreign Trade Conference! Recognized as one of the transportation industry’s most prestigious and productive gatherings, we’re confident you’ll find this year’s conference, as well as your stay on beautiful Sea Island, to be nothing less than spectacular.

We hope you’ll find the conference program useful. Details surrounding each day’s panels, speakers, sponsors and events have been outlined in an easy-to-use format for your convenience. In addition, a simplified version of the program has been included with your delegate badge. Door prizes will be awarded each day. Simply refer to the back of your badge for your delegate number.

As with all GFTC events, we want to make sure your experience is both educational and enjoyable. Please do not hesitate to ask any GFTC official for assistance during your stay. Again, welcome to The Cloister and the 40th Georgia Foreign Trade Conference!

Dress & Credentials
Dress for all conference functions is casual attire (no suits or ties please). Conference badges must be worn in a visible manner for admittance to any conference event. 

Cell Phones & Pagers
As a courtesy to all speakers and conference guests, please place all cell phones and pagers in manner mode.

Golf
The GFTC Golf Tournament will provide you the opportunity to play two of the three legendary Sea Island championship courses. Both Plantation and Retreat courses even the most competitive contenders to show their true skills. Upon check-in, a resort representative will gladly check your clubs to assure they are available upon arrival at the course. In addition, you may pair as you wish on the first day.  Please provide your pairings at the GFTC Golf Desk upon arrival. Pairings for tournament play on January 15 will be assigned by the Sea Island golf officials. 

Golf Driving Instructions
From the Cloister, follow Sea Island Road.  Turn "left" on Frederica Road. Follow Frederica for 3 miles, driving past the airport runway.  For "Plantation", continue driving straight. For "Retreat", turn "right" onto Kings Way.  Then, take the second right into Retreat Golf Club.  A 12:15 shotgun start is planned for both January 14 and January 15.
